RADIANT Annual General Meeting: Monday 17th July 2023 - open to all members

Updated: Mar 16, 2023

Join us at our upcoming meeting and find out how you can get involved in our upcoming projects!

RADIANT UK has come along way since its inception, growing from a small network of like-minded trainees to a large research collaborative supported by multiple experts, the RCR and more. We have rapidly developed our organisation and have successfully supported trainees in the development and publication of several fantastic projects.

Face-to-face meeting

Join us for our in-person event to be held at Sheffield Medical School on Monday 17th July! This meeting is free to attend and will consist of one day of a series of fantastic talks and interactive workshops! Hear updates about our ongoing and completed projects, be inspired by local academics and present your own poster or oral presentation to share your own work!

This year the project pitch session is returning! Bring your ideas to a small-group brainstorming session. Once you've hashed out your project aims, objectives and more, your group will present your pitch to fellow delegates and get a chance to exchange ideas and different perspectives on building your project. If chosen, RADIANT will help grow your project into our next high-quality research publication, and will support you in spearheading the project should you wish to continue your involvement! So if you have an idea for a project that you want to develop and even lead, join us!

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Abstract Competition

RADIANT invite all UK medical student, foundation doctors and trainees to submit a radiology based QIP, service evaluation and audit abstract for the RADIANT annual meeting on Monday 17th July 2023 for poster or oral presentation. This is an excellent opportunity to present your research and win a RADIANT poster prize too!

Please submit a 200 word abstract by Wednesday 31st May 2023 by sending your entries to committee.radiant@nhs.net. Please include the following information along with your submission:

  • Your full name

  • Email contact

  • Current position (medical student, foundation doctor, radiology trainee)

  • 200 word structured abstract (e.g. introduction and aims, methods, results, conclusion)

At least one author must register and attend the meeting to qualify for presentation at the conference. Successful abstracts will be notified by Friday 1st of June 2023 and asked to prepare a poster or 5 minute oral presentation. We reserve the right to reject abstracts, posters or presentations that do not adhere to our standards for presentation. We also ask your permission to upload accepted posters onto our website.
